    Bill Sawyer’s Virginia Motor Speedway is a ¹/2-mile semi-banked dirt oval raceway located in Jamaica, Virginia. Virginia Motor Speedway features a clay racing surface with 14 degree banking in both corners and 4 degrees on the front and back stretch. Races are held on Saturdays in April through September and Mud Bogs in May and October. Feel the adrenaline rush as you hear the rumble from your stadium seat as the cars zoom by. This family-friendly track has concessions and small coolers are allowed. Meet the drivers up close with a purchase of a $20 pit pass or reserve a suite for your large group (up to 20 people.)     Holly Point Nature Park is a tranquil backdrop for the Farmers Market each fourth Saturday in the months of May – September.  Stroll the park for local veggies and fruits, honey, artisan cheeses, fresh baked breads, flowers and plants, art, handmade clothing, jewelry, soaps and more!  The park has walking trails, a pier, free creek cruises, kayak launch and a children’s garden.    Learn all about boat building and seafaring way of life at the Deltaville Maritime Museum.  Bilz Bistro offers good eats and drinks at the tea house and a shaded picnic area.

  3. Groovin' in the Park

    Opening: Fabulous Rap Pittman, beach blues and soul Featured: No.1 Blues Billboard artist Bobby Messano Due to Covid restrictions our concert dates have changed! "Groovin' in the Park" is the Maritime Museum's casual, outdoor concert series normally running every 4th Saturday, May-Sept. The concert is held on the Waterfront Stage overlooking Mill Creek. During the Covid-19 restrictions this is a rain or shine event. The Pavilion is currently restricted until regulations loosen. This is a "bring your own lawn chair, cooler and picnic" event. We will do our best to have limited food but menu and volume will depend on available volunteers. Visit our food concession next to the Tea House four our offerings. Children under 12 are free. Tickets may be purchased on this website, or Nauti-nell's in Deltaville. Check for updates.
