James Mills Scottish Factor Store

AKA-Old Tobacco Warehouse A colonial merchant factor store where tobacco could be traded for finished goods from Europe. One of only two of such remaining structures of its kind in the United States.

Stingray Lighthouse at the Stingray Point

Stingray Lighthouse, an exact full-scale replica of the original Stringray Point screwpile lighthouse built in 1853 that stood watch over the shoal at Stingray Point, separating the Rappahannock River and Piankatank River.

Hewick Plantation

A circa 1678 manor home with breathtaking tree-lined entrance . Still undergoing internal restoration, the immaculate grounds are available for outdoor weddings and events.

Rosegill Plantation

A 860-acre privately owned waterfront property on the Rappahannock River and Urbanna Creek. Three main houses built by Ralph Wormeley, the colonial governor of Virginia, date back to 1650 ( a hundred years older than most of Williamsburg homes.)

 

The Wilton House

This preserved 1763 historic plantation house can be rented for overnight accommodations.

Museum in the Street



Walking historical tour of Urbanna. One of twenty port towns established by an act of assembly in 1680. From these ports tobacco was exported to England for European goods. Seven buildings in town have been in continuous use since the Colonial Period. Four of the sites are on the National Register of Historic Places.

Lt. General Lewis Burwell “Chesty” Puller’s Retirement House
